Deja View: Lakorn Locations with White Houses
2016 UPDATE: I have consolidated all my lakorn houses into one place: “Lakorn Locations” on my status bar on the top of my page. Or you can just click [here]. It now includes residences, business and natural areas. Enjoy!
~~~~~~~
Ah, there’s nothing like a palatial white house, with a huge columned port chochere, a sweeping staircase, and a beautiful fountain just outside the double-door front entrance. Sound familiar? It describes the majority of locations for filming in Thailand.
This one was used in Punya Chon Kon Krua (2012) and Samee (2013). The big bronze bull is the giveaway.
For those of use who are avid lakorn watchers, it sometimes becomes confusing when you are watching several shows that appear to be filmed in the same location. Here’s seven of the ones I found in duplicate. For most of these, I don’t know the exact location of these properties, or if they are public or private buildings.
Feel free to let me know if I’ve missed any lakorns associated with these locations!
Thanks, Shuk.
LOCATION 1
If I could visit one place, of all the lakorns I’ve watched this would be the one. I assume it’s a resort, I don’t think it’s really on an island, and the architecture and the interior of the main house is awesome! And if Chakrit would be my host, that would be even better!
LOL!!! Those houses are so confusing especially No 3 & 4, they are used in most lakorns. I’m wondering which white house was used for Lom Sorn Ruk, it doesn’t seem to be location 3 or 4.
I have had a chance to look at LSR. It’s actually Location # 3. The key elements are the gray-shingled roof, and the three shield-shaped finials above the front door and to either side. I’ve gone ahead and updated the post. Thanks!
adena3ka2 – the easiest way to tell them apart are the columns outside and the staircases inside. LOL. I haven’t watched LSR yet (I’m waiting for it to be completely English-subbed), but every time I spot another house, I update this post. And the Yellow house post.
I would still love to know where they are located in real life, especially that concrete beach resort used by Chakrit twice. 🙂
Location 2 was also used in Dao Kiang Duen as Ken Phupoom”s home. I watched Yan Kanlaya multiple times I remember every single furniture, lol….
smoothhb – Thank you for the information! I’ve updated the post. You know, I wonder if these places are owned by someone. Location 2 was used by so many lakorns at a time they probably had different film crews on different floors filming at the same time! lol
It could be I guess. Wow, just imagine you as a crew took a stroll in the garden and met Michel Pattaradet, took a left turn to the pool and ran into Ken Phupoom, climbed the grand stairs and collided with Push, walked to the dining room to calm the heart and tada! Weir was there…not counting other pra’ek who occupied the round bed at that time
I would end up in an ambulance with Mario and Mint C. LOL
was browsing subbed lakorns randomly…good grief…location 2 was used in Suea with Taya Rogers as the villain’s humble abode
smoothb – It becomes addicting, trying to recognize locations, doesn’t it. LOL. Thanks for the update. I already added it in. And my third post should be coming out soon with other familiar locations!
I loved this post – for me, the key is often the interiors – the positions of light switches, security peep holes, etc. I would like to go to some of the beach resorts used as secondary houses.
humbledaisy1 –
The resorts and the farmhouse locations are the hardest.
The beach houses are all white or light blue, two-storey and on stilts, so there’s little to distinguish one from the other other.
And I have never found a duplicate farmhouse location, except possibly Roy Mai and Majurat See Nam Pueng. They both seem to have a little square building with white and wooden square columns.
Thanks for the comments!
Are you able to give us those locations specifically? Like street and address lol
A few of the resorts I have found. But, no, most of them I can’t seem to pinpoint, sadly. Thanks for asking!
Also, if you are interested, along the border on my website are links to almost thirty specific locations. I expanded out after I wrote these posts. They include businesses as well. And I will take any suggestions if you find something I’ve missed. ^^
