Our guy finally sorta kinda admits how he feels, at least to himself, but the danger quotient ratchets up.  He will need all his focus to keep everyone alive and safe. His heart, though, is in the most danger it has ever been.

Mattana’s childhood memories of the king; the backlash of her impulsive actions in Thailand; Kamin’s not-yet-named feelings for his young charge; Hareutai’s hip flexibility have given us some additional tidbits of information to help solidify our story.  Makey doesn’t seem quite the jerk that he was in previous episodes, but I doubt the Mattana influence can exert a permanent change in his bad behaviors.

Our couple spends a lot of time with each other, but almost always in the presence of somebody else. And Prince Makey is underfoot to remind them both of the promises made to King and Country and parents. But shouldn’t personal happiness count for something?

At the start of this episode, our almost-betrothed couple is in a dark, creepy building. Suthep is around wishing them ill wth a sharp, pointy object, and our guards have been tasered. Will life be this exciting in Raya?

The meeting of our Prince and Princess is less than auspicious, but nevertheless, preparations continue to welcome the queen-to-be to her new adopted country. Hopefully she won’t kill him before anything gets worked out.  And poor Kamin is probably getting gray hairs trying to corral two of the most self-centered and impulsive people he has ever been in charge of.

Now the prep work begins, to mold Mattana into a gracious, demure…..HAHAHAHAHAHA.  I couldn’t hold that one in. She’s clearly a strong woman with a mind of her own and not a few fighting skills.  Of course, next to our Kamin, she’s a cute, petite thing.  He is learning what he needs to say and do to push her in the right direction – towards Raya – but we all know it isn’t going to be as easy as that.

Thanks to the hour-and-forty episode interval, we manage to establish the main grouping of characters already. Now it’s on to the sparks flying between our Royal Guard and his not-quite-royal charge. Can he also learn to untuck his pants from his boots?

Lah Ruk Sut Kop Fah – Episode 1

Hello everyone!  It seems my next Thai recap project is waiting in the wings despite alllllll the other recapping and posting projects I have. Oh well, I’ll just have to squeeze around real life. LOL. This is the 2014 Thai Drama from Channel 7 entitled ล่ารักสุดขอบฟ้า / Chasing Love To The Final Horizon.  It’s one of my favorite storylines, the contract marriage, but with the added spice of NOT falling in love with your betrothed partner.

It’s my first watch with male lead Weir Sukollowat Kanarot.  The female lead starred in one of my early Thai favorites, Sawan Saeng.  The episodes are almost two hours long, so the recaps will be a bit slow in coming.  But with my final SqueeCap of Falling In Love With Me almost complete, I hope to give this project a little more time than I have available right now.
