A Moment’s Madness – (An Heirs Fanfiction) Chapter 8 (Final)

Thanks to everyone who read my first drama-based fan fiction!  I hope you enjoy the final chapter.  Shuk

CHAPTER 8 – The Day After Tomorrow

If Young-do had ever had this much fun in the kitchen, he didn’t remember it. Ki-ae had insisted on the cooking, and they fell into a pattern; when she requested an ingredient and he returned with it, he brushed against her, sometimes hip to hip, sometimes just a lingering touch on her arm.  The cook station rang with laughter as they chatted; even when she relegated him back to his dishwashing station. And she fed him tidbits while he was elbow deep in suds, moving back and forth to the stove where the soup was merrily bubbling.

The playful mood continued when they finally sat down at one of the window tables to eat.  Young-do sampled his omurice and galbi tang, savoring the taste of a home-cooked meal, and, even more, the company.   Read the rest of this entry

CHAPTER 7 – The Hangover

“Yes sirrrrrr, one of a kind…”  G-Dragon rampaged through Young-do’s head. What the hell was he doing there? The beat matched the pounding in his temples as he squinted at the Samsung on the table.  It was seven o’clock in the morning, and his caller ID showed “#100”.

He fumbled for it and propped himself on his elbows.  “This had better be good.”

“Young-do ah, do you know if my mother checked into your hotel?”  At the sound of Kim Tan’s voice the fuzziness fled, although the headache remained.  He glanced over at the figure under the sheets and silently cursed. Read the rest of this entry

CHAPTER 6 – A Night To Remember

Young-do could barely think through the onslaught of sensation. He pressed her further down, his tongue dueling with hers as she writhed underneath him, the taste of whisky and the feel of her hair invading his senses. Inadvertently, his bent elbow knocked the desk lamp onto the floor. Startled, he let go of her head, which hit the desk top with an audible thump. Read the rest of this entry

CHAPTER 5 – Some Like It Hot

Her hands made quick work of his shirt buttons, her fingers streaking down the placket and finally yanking the tails out of his jeans. She backed towards the wall, pulling him willingly along as her kisses blazed a trail over his heart. She hit his desk, and, with a little hop, sat on the cool wooden surface. She released his shirt to wrap her arms around his neck and pull him against her. Read the rest of this entry

CHAPTER 4 – Pillow Talk

Ki-ae swirled her glass as she decided what to say. He shifted a little in his seat, and she found herself involuntarily drawn to his long lean legs, encased in denim. Her eyes continued up to the noticeable bulge at the juncture of his thighs. Abruptly her mind shied away from the direction of her thoughts. Words might distract her, she thought.
“You know, you don’t seem a thing like your father.” Surprise marked his features then transitioned into a bored look. Read the rest of this entry

CHAPTER 3 – Moonstruck

Ki-ae took a deep breath. While in the Kim mansion, she could unload her troubles on Park Hee-nam, in spite of the difficulties of communicating with someone who was mute. But the woman was a sympathetic ear that eased some of the pressure, and occasionally dispensed sharp but valuable advice. Ki-ae hated to admit it, even to herself, that she missed the housekeeper almost as much as she missed the house. Even though she was Eun-sang’s mother, by tacit agreement they avoided her workplace, so the time with her was limited to off days. Read the rest of this entry

CHAPTER 2: You Only Live Once

The pair went to a discreet corner booth of the lobby bar. The place was mostly deserted at that time of the night since it was in between the post-working drinkers and the clubbers.

“What would you like to drink?” Young-do asked when they had settled themselves. She shrugged.

“Whatever you bring is fine.”

Young-do slipped through the saloon doors into the kitchen. Walking past the familiar stainless steel work stations, he got to the wine cellar’s locked door. He made short work of the cypher lock, having memorized the wine steward’s code previously. Selecting several Spode china bottles, he tucked them carefully under his arms and snagged two old-fashion glasses from the drying rack. That way he could stay under the radar of the bar staff. He wasn’t sure what to do with this opportunity but he wanted few prying eyes to interfere. Read the rest of this entry

A Moment’s Madness – (An Heirs Fanfiction) Chapter 1

So, dear readers, I am finally attempting a fanfiction specifically with the available characters on the show (at least to start.  I might slip in Kim Ji-hoon when you least expect it! :D).  This is a great departure from most of the current Young-do pairings: what would happen if he decided to revenge himself on Kim Tan’s mother?  [SHUKNOTE:  This fanfic was started after 15 episodes, so anything  that happened in the last five are not in my in-verse version.)

CHAPTER 1:  Prelude To A Kiss

It was after New Year’s and the few people out in the cold darkness walked briskly and with purpose, except for the lone figure sitting quietly by an enormous park bench, dressed warmly in fur and yet, small and sad.

With a sigh, Han Ki-ae stood up and began walking down the park path to the sidewalk by the street. It was time to head back to the cramped rooftop apartment where her son and his lover resided, above her former housekeeper’s restaurant. Although they had generously offered what little space they had, she felt uncomfortable there. Not only was it a blow to be unceremoniously kicked out after the Jeguk Group CEO’s death, but the joy and love radiating from the pair made her feel her lack of companionship or security even more. Those two never noticed how pitiful their circumstances were, too wrapped up in each other, but she was convinced one day her son would realize all they had lost to his stepmother and half-sibling.
